Pompano Beach, FL — A GoFundMe page has been launched for the surviving daughters of Paul Bernardo, who passed away last Thursday at the age of 65.

Bernardo, a very well respected horseman at Pompano Park, Tioga Downs and Saratoga Raceway, had been in the midst of a very successful season at Pompano Park when he was stricken.

Information on services for Bernardo are yet to be finalized, however, there will be a memorial event at Pompano Park along with a memorial mass and celebration of his life in his hometown of Granville, N.Y. There will be a private service and burial in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, as well.

Bernardo is survived by his wife, Roxanne; daughters Joanna, 15, and Julia, 12; as well as sisters Kathryn Grabowski of Fairport, N.Y., Christine Pietryka of Bomoseen, Vt.; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and their children.

Family and friends are invited to make a donation to the GoFundMe page benefitting Paul’s daughters at www.gofundme.com/paul-bernardos-girls-memorial-fund.
